Sis. Houston, Emily is home now. She was so tired and happy at the same time. This picture is of the first hug with her mom in over 18 months. She flew in at 1 o'clock on March 28th. We all drove out to her house two days later on Easter morning to hear her speak in her church. Her heart was full and she shared her gratitude and love for the people of the Philippines. My favorite part of her talk was when she shared her testimony in the Cebu language. The Spirit sang as she spoke. What a joy and blessing to have an opportunity to study and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was blessed to be able to open her heart and mind to a new people and language, and grow with them in the Spirit of The Lord. As we visited and caught up some, I couldn't stop looking at her eyes. Her eyes have grabbed my attention since she was small. She has always had a spark in them, but on this day they were glowing. Only our Father in Heaven can know what is in store for her future, but the light in her eyes, her windows of her soul were shining brightly towards happiness and a path of faith. As family and friends of these young missionaries we are blessed by their examples.
