Sister Houston

One sister on her way out, one almost home!  Emily has be out in the field for almost 18 months, she will be home in just a few weeks. The Philippines are a beautiful place, but the Cebu mission has been even more lovely with this sister serving there. I will have to check with her and see if I can post some of her letters. We have enjoyed following her efforts and the blessings of missionary work through them. She has often requested prayers and called upon us to be mindful of the the great work of the Father. I can hardly wait to sq
ueeze her tight!

Sister Houston

I am so impressed and proud of the  those who are willing to serve a mission. This is my niece and she will be going into the MTC (missionary training center)in Provo next week. She is preparing to serve in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission. She will be serving at The Joseph Smith Memorial Historic site.  Britney will spend the next 18 months sharing her sweet smile and gospel knowledge with those who visit.  She has always had a bright smile and willingness to share it. I look forward to posting some of her adventures.

As our family has grown, and are getting closer to mission age. I decided to create this page. I hope to be able to share a glimpse into our missions.  We are Members of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints.  We are sometimes called Mormons, or LDS.  We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a gift from God, and that it should be shared with all. My Husband was born into the LDS Faith, and chose to serve a two year mission to Minnesota at age 19.  I was raised in another faith, but at age 18 met LDS missionaries in California. I was joyfully baptized. We met three years later and married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. That was over 20 years ago. Now our Children are growing older and preparing to serve their own missions. Some may serve full time missions for 18-24 months, but all are planning on life missions testifying of our Savior by word and deed.  This blog will be devoted to sharing the stories of how missionaries share the story of our Father in Heaven.
